DOJ Releases Three Million New Epstein Files: Global Elite Under Scrutiny as Secret Records Go Public

WASHINGTON D.C., USA – January 31, 2026

In a move that has sent shockwaves through the corridors of power worldwide, the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) has officially released over three million pages of investigative records, thousands of videos, and nearly 180,000 images linked to the late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The disclosure, described as the largest single release of its kind, fulfills the mandate of the Epstein Files Transparency Act, a law passed with near-unanimous bipartisan support to pull back the curtain on one of the most prolific sex-trafficking networks in modern history.

A Massive Data Dump: The Scale of the DOJ Disclosure

The release represents a turning point in the years-long battle for transparency regarding Epstein’s operations.

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche announced the release during a press conference in Washington D.C., stating that the department had reviewed more than six million pages of evidence—a volume he visually compared to “two Eiffel Towers of paper.”

The final production includes approximately 3.5 million responsive pages, 2,000 videos, and 180,000 images drawn from five primary sources, including the FBI’s investigations in Florida and New York, and the 2021 prosecution of Epstein’s accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell.

While the DOJ emphasized that many of the files include unvetted public tips and raw investigative data, the sheer volume of communications between Epstein and the global elite has reignited public scrutiny.

The records detail decades of interactions, travel logs, and private correspondence that show the extent to which Epstein embedded himself within the worlds of politics, science, and high finance.

High-Profile Global Figures Named in the Records

The newly released files contain thousands of references to world leaders, business magnates, and celebrities.

It is important to note that the Department of Justice has stated that a name appearing in these files does not, in itself, constitute evidence of criminal wrongdoing. However, the social and political ramifications are already being felt across the globe.

Political Leaders and Business Magnates

Donald Trump:

The current U.S. President is mentioned hundreds of times. The files include a list of allegations submitted via public tip lines in 2025, which the DOJ has categorized as “unverified.”
However, the records also include internal FBI memos and photographs, including one showing Trump alongside Epstein, Melania Trump, and Ghislaine Maxwell.

Bill Clinton:

The former President appears in several newly released photographs, including one alongside Epstein and the Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger. Other photos reportedly show him in the company of the late pop star Michael Jackson.

Elon Musk:

Documents reveal more extensive and “friendly” email correspondence between Musk and Epstein than previously known. In one 2012 exchange, Musk reportedly inquired about the schedule for social gatherings hosted by the financier.

Bill Gates:

The cache includes draft emails from 2013 in which Epstein implied he was aware of personal matters regarding the Microsoft co-founder and suggested he could assist in handling the “consequences.”

The British and European Connection

The files provide further details on Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor (formerly Prince Andrew) and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, as well as the former UK Ambassador to the US, Peter Mandelson.
These documents highlight the deep reach Epstein had into the British establishment, raising fresh questions for the UK government regarding historical oversight.

New Revelations on Epstein’s Death and Legal History

Beyond the list of associates, the files provide a grim look into Epstein’s final days at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in 2019.

Included are emails between investigators discussing his death by suicide, with one investigator noting that his final written communication did not resemble a traditional suicide note.

The documents also describe a tactical “decoy” used by jail staff to distract the media during the removal of Epstein’s body, using boxes and sheets to create a distraction in a secondary van.

Furthermore, a never-before-seen 56-page draft indictment from the mid-2000s was made public.

This document shows that federal prosecutors in Florida had originally prepared 30 criminal counts against Epstein—including sex trafficking and conspiracy—years before the controversial non-prosecution agreement that allowed him to avoid significant jail time.

This revelation suggests that the “sweetheart deal” Epstein received was even more egregious than previously reported by the media.

The Global Impact of the Transparency Act

Legal experts suggest that this data dump is just the beginning. The Epstein Files Transparency Act has forced the hand of several federal agencies that had long resisted the release of these documents citing “national security” or “privacy” concerns.

With the files now in the public domain, investigative journalists and legal teams worldwide are expected to spend months, if not years, parsing through the data to uncover new leads.

The release also places immense pressure on international law enforcement agencies to investigate whether any of the named individuals participated in or facilitated the crimes committed by Epstein and Maxwell. For many survivors, this transparency is a long-overdue step toward justice, though many still call for further prosecutions.
