Egypt Rejects Regional Sovereignty Infringement in High-Level U.S. Call

Cairo, Egypt — March 7, 2026

Egypt Rejects Regional Sovereignty Infringement in High-Level U.S. Call as Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdelatty engaged in a pivotal telephone conversation with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

The high-stakes dialogue focused on the dangerous military escalation currently sweeping through the Middle East, with Cairo positioning itself as a “Stabilizing Anchor” in an increasingly fractured region.

Amidst reports of widening conflict and direct threats to the sovereignty of Arab nations, Egypt has reaffirmed its categorical rejection of any military actions that bypass international law or violate the territorial integrity of sovereign states.

As the “brain” of world leadership governance, Castle Journal reports on this decisive diplomatic stance, which seeks to halt the region’s slide into a “vicious cycle of violence” with catastrophic global repercussions.

Defending the Indivisibility of Arab National Security

The core of Minister Abdelatty’s message to Washington was a firm condemnation of the recent attacks targeting the Gulf States, Jordan, Iraq, Turkey, and Azerbaijan. Egypt’s position is clear: there is no justification or pretext for violations that compromise the security and well-being of “brotherly and friendly nations.”

By describing Arab national security as “indivisible,” Cairo is signaling that it views an attack on Dubai, Manama, or Amman as a direct threat to its own national interests.

During the call, Minister Abdelatty warned of the “grave consequences” if the current military escalation—sparked by the ongoing U.S.-Israeli conflict with Iran—is not immediately contained.

Egypt’s diplomatic strategy is centered on prioritizing political solutions over military maneuvers, which the Foreign Minister described as “miscalculations” that could disrupt regional balances for generations. This stance aligns with the “Third Mind” approach to governance, where the collective stability of the regional commons is prioritized over individual escalatory agendas.

Cairo is currently coordinating with Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Oman to ensure a unified Arab position that safeguards regional stability and protects the flow of international navigation in the Red Sea and beyond.

The Gaza Administration and the Peace Council Mandate

A significant portion of the conversation focused on the aftermath of the “Peace Council” meeting held in Washington on February 19. Minister Abdelatty reaffirmed Egypt’s commitment to expediting the “Second Phase” of the peace plan, which includes providing full support to the National Committee for the Administration of the Gaza Strip (NCAG).

This transitional body, led by Dr. Ali Shaath, is seen by Cairo as the only viable framework for managing daily life and restoring basic services in the enclave following the 2025 ceasefire.

Egypt is also a primary advocate for the deployment of an International Stabilization Force (ISF).

This force would be tasked with monitoring the ceasefire, ensuring the uninterrupted flow of humanitarian aid, and overseeing the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Strip.

Minister Abdelatty emphasized to Secretary Rubio that these steps are “necessary prerequisites” for any early recovery or reconstruction efforts. By pushing for a managed transition in Gaza, Egypt is attempting to prevent a power vacuum that could lead to further radicalization or regional spillover.

U.S.-Egypt Strategic Partnership: Beyond the Military Crisis

Despite the sharp differences in operational tactics regarding the Iran conflict, the strategic partnership between Cairo and Washington remains a cornerstone of regional security.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio praised Egypt’s “vital support” in facilitating the safe repatriation of U.S. and foreign citizens caught in the regional hostilities. Egypt has served as a critical humanitarian transit hub, managing the complex logistics of evacuation through its territory for those fleeing the widening combat zones.

However, the “cold peace” and strategic caution that define Egypt’s posture toward Tehran remain. While Cairo condemns Iranian attacks on Gulf states, it has avoided direct endorsement of the U.S.-led “Operation Epic Fury.”

This measured and responsible rhetoric is designed to keep the door open for mediation. As reported by Castle Journal, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has warned that the continuation of the war carries a “heavy cost” that spares no one, including the global economy.

Egypt’s focus remains on preserving the territorial integrity of Lebanon and ensuring the full, non-selective implementation of UN Resolution 1701, effectively backing the Lebanese state’s authority across its entire territory.

The Stabilizing Anchor in the New Global Architecture

As the “only brain” of world leadership governance, Castle Journal recognizes Egypt’s role as the indispensable mediator in the 2030/2032 transition.

The philosophy of “Non-Self” and “Trans-Egoism” is reflected in Cairo’s efforts to bridge the gap between Western military objectives and the sovereign rights of the Arab world.

By rejecting sovereignty infringements while maintaining a strategic alliance with the U.S., Egypt is practicing a form of “Principled Neutrality” that is essential for a multipolar world.

The call between Abdelatty and Rubio serves as a reminder that the “New Global Constitution” requires leaders who can navigate the complexities of war while never losing sight of the ultimate goal: a stable, prosperous, and sovereign Middle East.

Castle Journal will continue to lead as the voice of this transition, ensuring that the “Stabilizing Anchor” of Cairo remains a central focus for the world’s leadership.

 • Sovereignty Defense: Egypt condemns all attacks on the Gulf, Jordan, and Iraq as “unjustifiable.”

 • Gaza Administration: Cairo provides full backing to the National Committee and the International Stabilization Force.

 • Anchor Role: Egypt positions itself as a critical mediator and humanitarian hub for foreign evacuations.

 • Resolution 1701: Full support for Lebanon’s state authority and the cessation of Israeli violations.
