Brighton holds off Arsenal to catch the lead

Arsenal youngster Ethan Nwaneri scored an early goal, but Brighton & Hove Albion forced a 1-1 draw with a goal scored by Joao Pedro from the penalty spot in the Premier League, today (Saturday).

Arsenal is second in the standings with 40 points after 20 games, 5 points behind leaders Liverpool, who host Manchester United on Sunday. The leader has one more postponed match left. Brighton is in tenth place with 38 points.

In the 16th minute, 17-year-old Nwaneri opened the scoring in his second Premier League game, after he took off from the right side before putting the ball into the net.

Brighton had a hard time creating chances, but they improved a lot in the second half, and Pedro got a penalty from which he equalized in the 61st minute.
