The US Embassy in Ottawa has declined to comment on the election, stating that it is a domestic Canadian issue.

The election campaign is expected to focus on issues such as trade, climate change, and national security. Carney’s Liberal Party will face a tough challenge from the Conservative Party, which has been gaining momentum in recent polls.
