Humanitarian Situation

  • Mass Displacement: Approximately 1.9 million people, or about 90% of the population, are internally displaced, with many forced to flee repeatedly. Some have been displaced up to 10 times or more due to Israeli-issued evacuation orders covering around 80% of the Gaza Strip.
  • Aid Delivery Challenges: UNRWA has struggled to deliver aid, with gaps in aid deliveries attributed to various factors, including restrictions on access.
  • Recent Aid Efforts: In a positive development, over 800 trucks delivered life-saving goods into Gaza recently, and UNRWA has reached 1.5 million people with food parcels since the start of the ceasefire.
